For years, I've been mixing a blend of Sumatra and some variety of eastern Africa dark or semi-dark roast beans. When I couldn't find Sumatra beans recently, I tried this Jumpstart blend. Now it's my first choice!

What I like about this blend is it doesn't have the smoky quality that I associate with a French Roast. It is a dark roast that has "something extra". It's wonderful with cream.

If you like french roast this is one of the best I have had. Strong, rich dark roast with a smooth finish.
