Shopping for a coffee lover for a special occasion? What better gift than a coffee sampler. Stuff stockings with small sample-size bags of Midnight Oil, Moka Java, Good Morning Gainesville, and Freight Train. This is a fun way to share Sweetwater's most popular coffees with folks who will love the culinary adventure.
Each bag is 4 oz of coffee.
Midnight Oil warms you up like a warm fall campfire. It's a rich, bold blend of that has sweet, fruity, dark chocolate notes and a full body.
Moka Java is Tina's go-to favorite coffee, lighter than Midnight Oil but carrying similar notes of fruit and dark chocolate.
Good Morning Gainesville is a shift from these two coffees. A slightly lighter roast, GMA has bright acidities that mellow out to a nutty finish.
Freight Train is our lightest roast in the sampler box. This coffee is a blend of South and Central American coffees that offers notes of pecans and milk chocolate. Drink up, enjoy, and let us know your favorite!
Grind Types
Whole Bean-- While we are happy to grind your beans, your coffee will stay fresher longer if you grind it as you go. There are many great home grinder options out there and many are surprisingly inexpensive.
Drip-- This is a medium grind that is the most versatile. Brewing methods using drip include home coffee drip machines, pour-overs (like Hario), Chemex, and AeroPress.
Espresso-- This grind is generally used for espresso makers. This includes home machines and stove-tip espresso pots. The grind is the most fine and is optimized to work with a high pressure extraction system.
Coarse-- Coarse is for percolators, french press, cold brewing, and sometimes AeroPress. Coarse is the biggest/loosest grind and enables water to move more freely steeping coffee for extraction.
All of the above, while generally true in the industry, also should be adjusted for preference. Feel free to experiment and please contact us if you have questions and we will be happy to work with you.

3 Sampler Review
Posted by WAHL NADINE on 29th Jan 2026
I admit it, I am a dark roast girl- Midnight Oil is my favorite- the deep roasted aroma and full bodied brew has no competition in my world. I thought I'd give the sampler pack a try - ok, I am biased as you can see. The very light roast was very bland although the fruity notes were interesting- better left for other drinkers. The other two bean roasts were decent and good body and flavor. And of course, Midnight Oil rocked my coffee palette ? I'd really like if we could choose our own 4 bean roasts for a custom sampler. Other than that, I thank you for the sampler packs!
